International webinar urges global action for Kashmir

ISLAMABAD: Prominent activists, journalists and leaders from Pakistan, Sweden, USA , UK and Kashmir spotlight the human rights crisis in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir during a virtual webinar organised by Friends of Kashmir International and Kashmir Media Service (KMS).
Abdul Hameed Lone of the Hurriyat leader and Vice Chairman Friends of Kashmir (FOK) highlights India’s broken 1948 UN promises, Kashmir massacres and 2019 Article 370 abrogation. He stresses Kashmiris are the principal party and calls for global advocacy via committees. “India fails to suppress the Kashmiri spirit despite force and bullets,” Lone says.
Raja Najabat Hussain, JKSDM Chairman, condemns India’s false flag operations and announces British Parliament conferences. He urges UN Human Rights Council action and advocacy in world capitals. “We push for accountability at every level,” he asserts.
Ghazala Habib, Friends of Kashmir Chairperson, appeals for empathy with Kashmiri sufferings like daughters dragged by hair and sons disappeared after 78 years of sacrifices. She suggests Trump mediate for Nobel glory, backs youth-led AI-social media drives, international groups of six per country, Pakistan’s advocacy and a Kashmir Committee MoU. “Our voices unite for Kashmir’s freedom,” she says.
Dr Mujahid Gilani flags arrests of doctors, house occupations and leadership targeting. He slams India’s strategies, demands top-level Pakistani response over rhetoric. “We counter with action, not hammering,” he warns.
Advocate Ch Attiq ul Rasool exposes draconian laws enabling rape and property destruction sans accountability. He calls on global media to highlight violations as a human rights issue, not bilateral spat.
