Interprovincial gang of so-called maids busted

-Eight caught for looting inmates

ISLAMABAD: On the special directives of SP Investigation Malik Naeem Iqbal, CIA of Capital Cops, busted an inter-provincial gang of female thieves involved in stealing valuables from the houses where they visited in guise of maids and recovered 26 tola gold ornaments and other valuables worth Rs.3 million from the accused, here on Thursday.
According to details, DIG Operations Waqar-ud-Din Syed constituted special team following directions of IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan to ensure arrest of culprits involved in looting houses. The team headed by SP Investigation Malik Naeem Iqbal including DSP CIA Hakim Khan, ASI Rana Tasneem, Head Constable Basharat Usman, Constables Zulfiqar Ali, Muhammad Waseem and Lady Constable Rehana Kausar succeeded to arrest eight women involved in ransacking houses after being employed there as maids. The nabbed women have been identified as Nazia, Kiran, Asima, Sughram Sharat, Shehnaz, Saadia and Ghazala.
The cops’ team also recovered 26 tola gold ornaments, artificial jewelry and other valuables worth Rs.3 million from them. Moreover, during preliminary investigation, the accused confessed of ransacking houses after getting employment there as maids. Further investigation is underway from the accused as around dozen of cases have been registered against them at various police stations. DIG Operations Waqar-ud-Din Syed has appreciated this performance of police team and announced cash prizes and commendation certificates for the members of the entire police team.

17 held during crackdown against crooks

ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops, while operating against anti-social elements, busted 17 in crackdown against drug pushers and criminal elements and recovered narcotics and weapons from them.
According to details, following the directives of IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfqar Khan, DIG Operations Waqar-ud-Din Syed issued directions to all zonal officers for renewed efforts against those involved in anti-social activities.
Thus, PS Sabzi Mandi apprehended two drug peddlers namely Khadim and Sabbir and recovered 500 gram hashish and 415 gram heroin from them respectively. PS Shahzad Town caught two accused Ali Hasnain and Nadeem for having 250 gram hashish and 302 gram heroin respectively. PS Khana booked Naseem Bacha and recovered one 30 bore pistol from him.
Similarly, PS Sihala apprehended two accused Naeem and Jabran and recovered two 30 bore pistols from their possession. PS Lohi bher nabbed two drug peddlers namely Noor Zada and Alam and recovered a total of 280 gram hashish from their possession. Furthemore, PS Koral caught five accused including two ladies allegedly involved in immoral activities.
Separate cases have been registered against the nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them. Moreover, during special crackdown against absconders, Capital Cops caught three proclaimed offenders and court absconders from various areas of the city. DIG Operations Waqar-ud-Din Syed has appreciated this overall performance and directed all police officials to ensure effective policing measures in their respective areas.

ITP fines 77,889 bikers without helmet

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) issued 77,889 fine tickets to motorcyclists driving their bikes without helmets during ongoing years.
He said that ITP is endeavoring to maintain exemplary traffic system in the city and check those involved in negligence on roads. The 77,889 fine tickets were issued to motorcyclists driving their bikes without helmets, he added.
SSP Traffic Farrukh Rasheed has appreciated this performance and said that vigorous campaign of ITP had been launched as per directions of IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar to create awareness among citizens about
traffic rules. As par the directions of IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar, he said that ITP personnel has been directed to ensure implementation on traffic rules and regulation irrespective of status and rank and demonstrate patience and politeness while issuing traffic violation tickets to the road users.
He said that ITP is utilizing all available resources to facilitate the general public. He has appealed the parents not to allow their children to rive bikes or cars till age of maturity. Personnel of the force issue traffic violation tickets not as a punitive measure but the purpose is to ensure safe road environment in the Capital and secure the lives of the people, the SSP Traffic maintained. He appealed the parents not to allow their underage children to drive bikes.
