Numerous international cricketers have supported Pakistan after New Zealand decided to cancel a limited-overs tour on security threats.
Former West Indies captain Darren Sammy, cricketer Sherfane Rutherford, Sri Lanka’s Angelo Perera tweeted and backed Pakistan’s security.
“I have always felt save, this is massive blow to Pakistan,” Sammy wrote.
“Pakistani is the safest country for cricket and cricket-loving country,” Rutherford opined. Perara recalled his tour with the Sri Lankan team where he enjoyed every bit of it.
It must be noted here that NZC ‘unilaterally decided to postpone Pakistan tour’ citing security threats despite Prime Minister Imran Khan’s foolproof security assurance to New Zealand’s Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern.
