LARKANA: Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that if the institutions are investigating the benami accounts then they should also investigate ‘the benami prime minister’.
The PPP chairman was addressing the gathering held in Garhi Khuda Bukhsh to remember the 11th death anniversary.
Bilawal said that the Joint Investigation Team’s report pertaining to the fake accounts is a pack of lies, adding that it is an attempt to misguide the courts.
“We hope that the courts will discard the misleading report… Neither the public nor I accept the report” said the PPP chairman.
“I want to send this message to all the powers that I will fight your conspiracies, I will fight your arrogance,” said Bilawal.
The PPP chairman, while criticising the government, said that the government does not realise how weak the centre is.
“It seems that the reservations of Sindh is being thrown in the garbage bin, but those in power seem to be least concerned,” he said.
The PPP chairman alleged that the new prime minister has been brought in to reintroduce the one-unit system in the country.
Bilawal Bhutto said that the new government wants to put an end to the 18th amendment in the constitution.
He said in his life he counts Jiyalas (PPP workers) as his biggest asset. Bilawal said that on this fateful day, his mother was taken away from him.
The PPP has organised a central congregation in her hometown Garhi Khuda Bakhsh in Larkana district of Sindh.
Benazir took oath as the first female prime minister of Pakistan on December 2, 1988. She was also the first woman to lead a Muslim state and twice served as the prime minister of Pakistan.
The former premier was assassinated in a gun and bomb attack in Rawalpindi on December 27, 2007.
