US and Iran are likely to resume the stale Islamabad talks on the coming Thursday with the venue being the same, highly credible sources have revealed to The Daily Mail in an exclusive interaction, however, no Official confirmation or announcement has been made. These sources say that expert level talks never ended and were continuing between Iranian and US experts, even after the main delegations of both countries left Islamabad. The sources say that the resumption of Islamabad talks are believed to be initiated by Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman and also to some extent, input from China. The talks were already likely to resume as no side had announced that the talks have ended or have failed or were unsuccessful but, this immediate resumption surfaced only after US President announced a Naval Blockade of the Strait of Hormuz and China reacted very meaningfully while Saudi and Qatari FM’s quickly established telephonic contact with the Iranian counterpart, whereas Qatari government also issued a well worded presser about the talks between the two FM’s.
It is also worth mentioning here, that the Pakistani Prime Minister is also leaving for Saudi Arabia in the next 34 to 26 hours for an unscheduled meeting with Saudi Crown Prince MBS. The latest developments in the Middle East, some security and political observers, also linked to the Saturdays press release by the Saudi Defense Ministry, announcing that Pakistan’s Air Force and Army troops and equipment had already reached and been deployed in Saudi Arabia under the recently signed historic defense agreement between the two countries.
