Islamabad Hotels reserved for foreign Kabul evacuees

ISLAMABAD: In order to assist Afghan evacuees on humanitarian basis the Islamabad Administration Thursday asked all Private Hotels in the Capital territory to reserve the facilities for passengers coming from Afghanistan. In a letter, dated 26 August, 2021, the Capital Administration has requested all private hotels to close reservation for the next 21 days starting from today (Friday).
“In view of current situation across the border thousands of people are evacuating from Afghanistan and passengers from transition flights staying in Islamabad” the letter stated.
It further said “in order to facilitate the passengers, it’s requested reservations in all hotels of the Islamabad Capital territory may be closed from tomorrow onwards for next 21 days at least. Furthermore all vacant rooms may be placed at the disposal of ICT Administration for accommodation of passengers till further order”.–Agencies
