ISLAMABAD: Under the public-centric policing vision of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, a summer camp has been organized at Islamabad Police Lines Headquarters.
Assistant Inspector General of Police (Logistics) Abdul Haq Umrani formally inaugurated the Police Summer Camp 2025. On this occasion, he stated that the purpose of holding the summer camp is to promote community policing.
Islamabad Police has been organizing this camp since 2002. The consistent annual organization of the summer camp is made possible due to the strong trust of the citizens in the police. Children between the ages of 4 and 12 participate in the Police Summer Camp.
He further stated that professional coaches have been arranged to train the children in football, golf, and other co-curricular activities. In addition to physical activities such as swimming, horse riding, martial arts, gymnastics, archery and obstacle courses, children are also introduced to Own Safety & Security, first aid and traffic rules.
The summer camp enhances children’s physical and mental capabilities and familiarizes them with an environment outside of their homes.
AIG Logistics further added that children are the future of the nation, and such activities contribute significantly to their mental growth. These activities also foster a spirit of competition and self-confidence among the children.
In conclusion, he addressed the parents and assured them that their children would be kept in a safe and secure environment, with complete arrangements for their protection. He thanked the parents for trusting the police.
On this occasion, parents appreciated the efforts of Islamabad Police for initiating the Police Summer Camp School 2025.
