Islamabad voices solidarity with Iran

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Zahidan, Iran resulting in loss of lives of two Iranian security personnel.
Foreign Office expressed deepest condolences to the bereaved families in a statement and prayed for the swift recovery of the injured.
“We express our deepest condolences to the bereaved families and pray for the swift recovery of those injured,” the Pakistani foreign office said, “Pakistan stands in complete solidarity with the government and people of Iran in this common fight against the scourge of terrorism.”
Four militants attacked a police station in Zahedan in Iran’s Sistan-Baluchistan province, about 30 kilometers from the border with Pakistan, triggering a shootout. Two security forces were killed, Iranian state TV said.
Zahedan has been the scene of weekly protests since the killing of protesters on Sept. 30, 2022, even as unrest has subsided in most other parts of the country.
Pakistan shows complete solidarity with the government and people of Iran in the common fight against the scourge of terrorism.
