BEIJING: The Italian Embassy in China on Tuesday expressed gratitude and solicited more support from the Chinese public on social media for supporting the country in its fight against COVID-19 amid surging infections and deaths in Italy.
The embassy said on China’s Sina Weibo “Many people expressed their support for the novel coronavirus emergency in Italy” in both Chinese and Italian and “Thank you for your love and support” in Chinese.
The embassy also published two methods of donating and crowdfunding for Italy.
“Interested people can donate to the Italian Red Cross, which is actively working on the front lines in collaboration with the Italian Ministry of Health and Ministry of Defense,” said the embassy.
Many Chinese netizens commented, “Stay strong, Italy!”
