Islamabad: Following the special directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the Islamabad Traffic Police implemented a comprehensive traffic plan to maintain effective traffic management in the federal capital during Eid-ul-Fitr holidays. In this regard, under the supervision of Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Capt. (retd) Hamzah Humayun, strict action was taken against reckless motorcyclists involved in one-wheeling and hooliganism.
Moreover, legal action was initiated against over 1000 motorcyclists, while over 250 motorcycles were impounded in different police stations for serious traffic violations.
CTO Islamabad Hamzah Humayun stated that due to the effective measures taken by the traffic police no incidents of one-wheeling, racing and drifting were reported in the federal capital during Eid.
He further added that the efforts and dedication of Islamabad Police during Eid were widely appreciated by citizens across various platforms. Additionally, over 500 traffic police officers were deployed to facilitate citizens and ensure smooth traffic flow across major roads in Islamabad.
Their presence helped maintain normal traffic operations, allowing residents to enjoy a peaceful Eid. We are on the roads so you can celebrate Eid safely, said CTO Islamabad.
