ITP issues route-wise traffic diversion plan for 26th Safar

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) issued a traffic diversion plan for the 26th Safar procession in Sector I-10/1, advising motorists to avoid the procession route and use designated alternate roads for hassle-free travel.
The procession would commence from House No. 510, I-10/1, proceed via CDA Double Road, Street No. 70 and House No. 2305 Double Road, before concluding at Imambargah Musa Kazim.
The official said traffic restrictions and their corresponding alternate routes would be as follows:
Diversion 1 — I-10/1 Habib Tarpaul to CDA Check Post:
The service road from Habib Tarpaul, I-10/1 to the CDA Check Post will remain closed to traffic. Motorists should use the I-10/1 Service Road as an alternate route.
Diversion 2 — CDA Chowk to I-10 Markaz:
The I-10/1 Double Road from CDA Chowk to I-10 Markaz market will remain closed. Commuters should use the I-10/1 Service Road and Street No. 23, I-10/4 as alternate routes.
Diversion 3 — I-10/4 Service Road to CDA Check Post:
Traffic movement from the I-10/4 Service Road towards the CDA Check Post will remain restricted. Motorists should use the I-10/4 Service Road towards Sui Gas Chowk.
Diversion 4 — CDA Chowk:
The road at CDA Chowk will remain closed during the procession. Commuters should use IJP Road as the alternate route.
The official urged citizens to follow the designated diversions and use alternate routes during the procession to avoid inconvenience.
Motorists were also advised to follow the official Islamabad Traffic Police social media platforms or tune in to FM 92.4 for the latest traffic updates.
