ISLAMABAD: The primary objective of the camp was to examine the health of drivers and to provide them with awareness about traffic rules and road safety. Following the special directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the Islamabad Traffic Police in collaboration with a private organization organized a medical camp.
The main purpose of the camp was to assess the health of professional and heavy vehicle drivers and to educate them about traffic laws and road safety. This initiative aims to ensure smooth traffic flow and reduce traffic accidents. During the medical camp, specialist doctors conducted important medical examinations of drivers, including blood pressure, blood sugar, eyesight, hearing and mental stress assessments. Based on the test reports, several drivers were given preliminary medical advice and guided for further treatment.
Traffic police officers also briefed the drivers on the importance of adhering to traffic laws, safe driving practices and methods to prevent accidents. Chief Traffic Officer Islamabad, Captain (Retd) Syed Zeeshan Haider stated that the protection of citizens lives and property is their top priority.
He emphasized that examining drivers health and raising their awareness about traffic laws will not only improve traffic flow but also significantly reduce road accidents.
He further stated that such initiatives will continue in the future. Moreover, citizens appreciated the efforts of the traffic police and the drivers who participated in the medical camp welcomed the initiative as a positive and helpful step.
