ISLAMABAD: Following the special directives of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the Islamabad Traffic Police is constantly engaged in providing all possible travel facilities to citizens, improving traffic flow on roads, and keeping people safe from accidents.


In this regard, the Islamabad Traffic Police’s “Mechanic on Wheels” service is diligently working around the clock to assist citizens and promptly resolve any technical issues encountered during travel.
Similarly, in the federal capital, this service ensures the provision of immediate assistance to citizens facing any kind of difficulty while on the road. In case of vehicle or motorcycle breakdowns, experienced mechanics are dispatched to provide on-the-spot assistance. This service provides timely technical help on the road during emergencies for citizens in the federal capital.
Upon receiving a call from a citizen, a team of professional mechanics in this mobile service immediately arrives at the designated location. In cases such as vehicle breakdowns, flat tires, battery failure, or other technical problems, this team provides initial technical support so that citizens can continue their journey without major inconvenience.
Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Islamabad Captain (R) Syed Zeeshan Haider, stated that citizens can avail this service anytime by calling the Islamabad Traffic Police Helpline at “1915”.
This service not only provides immediate help in emergencies but is also “completely free of charge”.
He further added that the Islamabad Traffic Police appeals to all citizens to call the emergency helpline “Pukar-15” in case of any emergency and to ensure adherence to safety rules during travel, so that a well-coordinated traffic system can be maintained in the city.
