ISLAMABAD: Japanese ambassador in Pakistan and Japanese adviser on economy and development called on maritime minister Ali Hyder Zaidi in which development work on Korangi fish harbour was discussed.
According to the spokesman of the maritime ministry, both sides urged to speed up development work on Korangi fish harbour while these projects will help to fulfil standards set by WTO, EU, importers of seafood countries. The Minister also suggested the creation of a technical industrial zone for the Japanese companies on Port Qasim, while the meeting also talked about the establishment of a training institute for fishermen wherein the future generation will be given training regarding fishing in the deep sea.
Japanese ambassador also discussed a MOC held last year between Pakistan and Japan under which Pakistanis use employments in field of fisheries and maritime sector. Ali Zaidi also talked about with Japanese ambassador to give employment to Pakistan sea goers in Japanese vessel companies.
