RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa says assistance of international partners is vital for rescue and rehabilitation of the flood affected people in Pakistan.
According to a statement by ISPR, Gen. Bajwa was talking to Ambassador of Japan Wada Mitsuhiro who called on him in Rawalpindi on Thursday. During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, regional security situation and collaboration in humanitarian measures were discussed.

Thanking Japan for its support to flood affected people of the country, the Army Chief said Pakistan values Japan’s role in global and regional affairs and looking forward to enhance its bilateral relations with it, the statement added. Speaking on the occasion, ISPR said, the Ambassador expressed his grief over the devastation caused by floods in Pakistan and offered sincere condolence to the families of the victims. –ISPR
