ISLAMABAD: Vice President of the United States of America JD Vance departed here on Sunday, wrapping up his visit to Pakistan as the Islamabad Talks between the United States and Iran concluded.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar and Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir saw the US Vice President off at the airport.
JD Vance was part of the high-level US delegation, also comprising Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner which participated in the Islamabad Talks which the Deputy Prime Minister Dar said were “intense and constructive” and continued through 24 hours.
During the visit, JD Vance and other US delegation members also held a meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif who commended the commitment of both delegations to engage constructively.
