ISLAMABAD: Jamaat-e-Islami decided to hold sit-ins in all four provincial capitals against electricity rates and revision of contracts with the IPPs.
The Jamaat-e-Islami held a meeting regarding sit-in plan C. The JI emir Hafiz Naeemur Rehman presid-ed over the meeting. All the leadership including the provincial leaders of the party participated in the meeting.
It is said that Jamaat-e-Islami has completed all arrangements for the public sit-in.
Jamaat-e-Islami will hold a sit-in in Karachi from Friday. Later, the sit-ins will be held in Peshawar, La-hore and Quetta.
The sources further said that the protest would then be expanded to the divisional level.
Jamaat-e-Islami Information Secretary Qaiser Sharif confirmed Plan C. He said that the Jamaat has pre-pared all the preparations for the sit-in. –Agencies
