Jordan Embassy delegation visits Safe City, meets ICCPO

ISLAMABAD: Ambassador of Jordan to Pakistan, Dr. Maan Abdel Fattah Khurisat, visited the Central Police Office Islamabad along with a delegation and met with Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan.
Jordan embassy delegation discussed various matters with ICCPO Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan and was briefed about the measures taken by the Islamabad capital police to maintain foolproof security.
During the visit, the delegation was briefed on Safe City’s centralized system, cutting-edge technology-equipped cameras, and monitoring facilities and coverage across various sectors of the city and its integration with private buildings, toll plazas, and the metro bus system was highlighted, with ongoing upgrades continuing to expand its reach.
The delegation was briefed about the important measures taken by the Islamabad Police during the recent General Elections 2024, to maintain the law and order situation in Islamabad and to ensure the protection of life and property of the citizens. Moreover, the delegation also visited the control room in Safe City.
The delegation was also briefed about its role in the security of the city and the prevention of crimes through Safe City Islamabad.
Furthermore, emergency facilities have also been brought together under one roof at Safe City so that all facilities can be provided to the citizens in a timely manner.
ICCPO said that the Islamabad Capital Police is using modern technology to ensure the safety of citizens’ lives and property. On this occasion, the delegation appreciated the efforts of ICCPO and his team.
