Jordan, Pakistan agree to deepen cooperation in counter-narcotics, Police training

ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Thursday said Pakistan and Jordan have agreed to further strengthen bilateral cooperation, particularly in counter-narcotics operations and police training.
In a statement posted on his social media account X, the minister said he held a meeting with his Jordanian counterpart, H.E. Mazen Abdullah Hilal Al-Faraya, during which both sides discussed avenues to enhance collaboration between the two countries’ interior ministries.
Naqvi said he invited the Jordanian interior minister to visit Pakistan to continue the momentum of growing ties between Islamabad and Amman.
He quoted Al-Faraya as describing Pakistan as a “brotherly country” and recalling the recent successful visit of His Majesty the King of Jordan to Pakistan. The Jordanian minister also underscored the special importance his country attaches to its relations with Pakistan.
Naqvi said both sides agreed to deepen cooperation in various security-related sectors and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening institutional linkages for regional stability and mutual benefit. –Agencies
