Karachi to face Lahore in PSL Final

-Qalandars beat Sultans in elemilator-2 to meet kings in Final

Karachi: Adam Lyth provided a quick start to Multan Sultans as they are now 91-2 in 10 overs with needing 92 more runs off 60 balls to qualify for PSL 5 final.
Lyth smashed four boundaries and three sixes to score 50 runs off 29 balls to lay down a solid foundation in Sultans’ run-chase. He fell to David Wiese in 9th over to leave Sultans on 80-2.
Zeeshan Ashraf scored 12 runs off 9 balls with a six and four.
David Wiese smashed 21-balls 48 runs to help Lahore Qalandars put up a mammoth 182-6 on the scoreboard against Sultans in second PSL 5 Eliminator.
Wiese hit bowlers all around the park and took five boundaries and three sixes to his credit.
Earlier, Tamim Iqbal and Fakhar Zaman provided a steady 46-runs start to Qalandars. Tamim scored 30 runs off 20 balls with the help of five boundaries whereas Fakhar made 46 off 36 balls laced with four boundaries and two sixes.
Hafeez, who played a match-winning knock for Qalandars the other day, managed to score just 19 runs before falling to veteran Shahid Khan Afridi. Samit Patel contributed 26 runs with the help of four boundaries.
For Sultans, Afridi picked up two wickets for 18 runs in four overs where Sohail Tanvir and Junaid Khan remained expensive for conceding 52 and 42 runs, respectively. The left-arm fast bowling duo took a wicket each. Adam Lyth and Mohammad Ilyas also shared a wicket apiece.
Remember, Sultans have won the toss and decided to bowl first against Lahore Qalandars in the second Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 5 Eliminator.
“Yesterday, batting first didn’t work for us, and unfortunately we lost. Today is a new day and we are looking forward to making it into the finals,” Shan Masood said after winning the toss.
On the other hand, Qalandars’ captain Sohail Akhtar is confident that his team will continue winning momentum going into the final.
“The boys are motivated from the last game and we are confident to pass this step to march into the final,” he said.
