ISLAMABAD: Chairperson Peace and Culture Organisation, Mushaal Mullick while paying rich tributes to the martyrs of Jammu massacre on their martyrdom anniversary, said that the brave Kashmiri people would carry on the martyrs’ mission till they achieve their inalienable right to self-determination.
Mushaal, wife of detained senior Hurriyat leader Yasin Malik, in a statement on ‘Jammu Martyrs’ Day’ observed on both sides of the Line of Control and across the world on Sunday, reiterated that Kashmiris would accomplish the mission of their martyrs at all costs.
She said that the Jammu massacre was the reminder of the criminal face of Hindutva forces, as scars of the gruesome massacre of Jammu Muslims are still fresh in the memory of Kashmiri people. The Chairperson stated that on November 6, Jammu Muslims in huge numbers, including men, women and children were seemingly dispatched towards Pakistan in trucks but before they could reach their destination, they were attacked by Hindu extremists, Indian army and forces of Maharaja at Samba, Reasi and\ other places and martyred in a gruesome manner. The Hurriyat leader narrated that in 1947, the anti-Muslim violence started in August and continued till November engulfing the then princely State of Jammu and Kashmir’s eastern districts of Jammu, Udhampur, Reasi and Kathua.
