ISLAMABAD: An Outreach online session on safe migration was jointly hosted by the Kawish Welfare Society ®️ ghazi in collaboration with Migrant Resource Center Islamabad, Media Hubs and Community Based Organizations of district Haripur. Prominent social activists from tehsil Khanpur, Ghazi and Haripur also actively joined the session.
In his welcome note, Chairman Kawish Riasat Ali paid a profound gratitude to Migrant Resource Center Islamabad to extend his domain to Haripur district and bided his wholehearted tribute to the heads of CBOs and Media representatives; including rest of social activists for their due participation in the session and for their pledge & commitment to jointly carrying out the objectives of the program.
MRC’s counsellors Mushtaq Ahmed and Umer Wazir shared the objectives of the Migrant Resource Center and apprised the attendees the core issues pertaining to migration, process and consequences of illegal migration prevails therein as well as.
According to speakers the MRC provides information, referral services and assistance with finding and keeping employment to migrants. MRC also working on a draft of memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with future in near future.
Participants of the outreach session termed the event quite productive, informative and significance and vowed to extend their all-out support to promote the program throughout the district; including Khanpur, Ghazi and Haripur Tehsils.
