Bishkek: An agreement was signed for the first time between the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the development of national sports and folk games.
The agreement was signed in Nur-Sultan city of Kazakhstan within the framework of the state visit of President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov to Kazakhstan.
On behalf of the Kyrgyz side, the document was signed by Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan Kairat Imanaliev.
The agreement was developed in order to strengthen cooperation between the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan and the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Kazakhstan in the development of national sports and folk games. In accordance with the Agreement, the ministries of the two countries have agreed to support each other’s initiatives to hold international tournaments in national sports, as well as to promote the national sports of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan in the international arena; to promote the establishment of cooperation between federations and associations in national sports, their interaction within the framework of the activities of international federations and associations in sports; to support joint efforts to improve the standards and rules of national sports; to assist in the training of sports coaches and athletes, as well as in the exchange of experience between specialists in the field of national sports and folk games of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan; to encourage and take joint actions to organize and conduct sports events dedicated to significant dates and events in the life of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, etc.
Meanwhile in the day President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov visited the museum of First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev in Nur-Sultan. The press service of the Kyrgyz president said that Sadyr Zhaparov head of state was told about the history of the museum and its exhibits.
A museum, dedicated to the life and work of Nursultan Nazarbayev, was opened on October 1, 2020. It has an area of 40 thousand square meters and stores unique things from the personal collection of the First President of Kazakhstan and exhibits telling about the formation of Kazakhstan’s statehood. –PNP
