PESHAWAR: Defence Minister, Pervaiz Khattak Monday said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) would fully ensure participation of women in upcoming 2nd phase of the local government elections, particularly in district Dir.
He expressed these views while addressing a Workers’ Convention held at Taroon Hall in Timergarah. He said that women belonging to district Lower and Upper Dir should vote adding PTI believed in active participation of women in the electoral process.
Pervaiz Khattak said groupings within the party would not be tolerated and if anybody involved in anti-party practices would expelled from the party. He asked those who were indulge in grouping practices should quit party rather than damaging interest of the party.
He said that party tickets would be given to the best workers on the basis of merit in the local body elections within few days. He urged workers not to take LG elections easy and directed them to launch public contact campaign for the party’s candidates.
Pervaiz said that workers of the real asset of the party and all important decisions would be made with their consultations. He also directed party’s MNAs to present within their respective constituencies to resolve matters of people and party workers.
He said that inflation was a global phenomenon which hit many rich countries including Pakistan adding that Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision of smart lockdown in the pandemic was appreciated internationally which not did not halted economic activities inside the country.
He said that due to prudent economic policies 5.37percent GDP has been achieved which reflects economy going in right directions adding that sehat insaaf cards, interest free loans, youth programs are the achievements of PTI government.
MNA Syed Mehboob Shah, MNA Muhammad Bashir Khan, MPA Humayun Khan, Chief Minister’s Focal Person MNA Junaid Akbar Khan, Regional Coordinator Sahibzada Sibghatullah, Special Assistant to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Malik Shafiullah Khan, MPA Azam Khan, Chairman DDAC Dir Lower Malik Liaquat Ali Khan and others also addressed the event.
