Kites & chemical strings destroyed during ongoing crackdown

ISLAMABAD: Following the special directives of IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the Islamabad Police are continuing a large-scale crackdown across the district against kite flyers and kite sellers. In this regard, kites and hazardous strings recovered from the possession of kite flyers and sellers during the current month have been destroyed.
IGP Islamabad urged parents to educate their children about the dangers of kite flying and the legal consequences involved. He also appealed to citizens to fulfill their social and legal responsibilities and play their role in preventing kite flying. He stated that, kite flying is a dangerous activity that can cause permanent disability or even death. He further emphasized that Islamabad Police will continue strict action against kite flying and kite selling, as kite flying is a criminal offense and is being dealt with firmly.


Islamabad Police are continuously taking legal action against this deadly activity, as metallic strings pose a serious threat to human life. The loss of innocent lives due to this deadly practice will not be tolerated. Ensuring the safety of citizens lives and property remains the top priority of Islamabad Police.
