Karachi: Sajid Khan’s eight wickets in the match and Kamran Ghulam’s knock of 166 led Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by an innings and 37 runs win over Sindh in the ongoing Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2020.
Sindh couldn’t complete KP’s first-innings total of 414 and was bowled out for 148 in the second innings. Sharjeel Khan and Saud Shakeel were the only recognizable scorers for Sindh, scoring 51 and 50 respectively.
Off-spinner Sajid Khan once again shined, as he took his fourth fifer of the tournament while Mohammad Wasin Jr picked three wickets. With this win, KP have topped the points table with four wins in seven matches. Sindh is now at last with only win in as many matches.
At National Stadium, Southern Punjab defeated Balochistan by 205 runs. Balochistan were bowled out for 199 while chasing a target of 405.
The star of the morning was Zia-ul-Haq, picking 7/35 in 15.4 overs. Imran Farhat and Akbar-ur-Rehman resumed the day for Balochistan on 112/2. They lost their eight wickets for 77 runs. Imran made 84 off 120 balls which included 11 boundaries. He was clean bowled by Zahid Mehmood on the team score of 154. Akbar was removed by Zia after showing a healthy resistance. He made 57 off 103 balls.
Yesterday, Hasan Ali led Central Punjab won their second consecutive match in the tournament, defeating Northern by six wickets.
