ISLAMABAD: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) has launched a project to distribute 30,000 winter bags (weighed 180 tons) in four provinces in Pakistan in collaboration with the partner (SDO). As per details, 8000 winter bags would be distributed in six districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) including Chitral, Shangla, Kohistan, Mansehra and Swat. The KSRelief will distribute 7500 winter bags in six districts of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) including Neelum, Muzaffarabad, Mirpur, Haveli, Hattiyan Bala and Bagh. As many as 7500 winter bags will be provided to residents of district Astore, Kharmang, Ghanche, Shigar and Ghizer of Gilgit Baltistan (GB) Meanwhile, four people of four districts of Balochistan including Ziarat, Kallat, Pishin and Zhob will get 7000 winter bags. Each package contains 2 blankets, men’s and women’s shawls, 5 pairs of socks, gloves and caps at a total cost of US$ 1.5 Million and 150,000 individuals will benefit from this project. This project comes under the umbrella of humanitarian projects by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center to assist needy families living in the coldest areas in (21) regions across Pakistan.
