Kyrgyz FM mulls trade ties with Pakistani, Korean diplomats

Bishkek: Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Ruslan Kazakbaev met with ambassadors of South Korea and Pakistan, the press service of the Foreign Ministry reported.
During a meeting with Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Kyrgyz Republic Ha Tae Yok, the ambassador congratulated Minister Kazakbaev on his appointment to the post and wished him success in his work.
In turn, Kazakbaev informed the interlocutor about the gradual stabilization of the internal political situation in the Kyrgyz Republic and the return of political processes to the constitutional channel. The commitment of the Kyrgyz Republic to the fulfillment of all previously assumed international obligations was especially noted.
The sides exchanged views on the state and prospects of bilateral cooperation and noted the importance of further strengthening partnership and interaction between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Korea in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
Kazakbaev also discussed issues of deepening practical interaction between the Kyrgyz Republic and Korea within the framework of the Cooperation Forum “Central Asia-Republic of Korea”.
Minister Kazakbaev also met with Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Kyrgyz Republic, Tarik Khan. Ambassador Khan congratulated Minister Kazakbaev on his appointment to the post of head of the foreign ministry of the Kyrgyz Republic and wished him success in further fruitful work.
During the meeting, Minister Kazakbaev informed about the gradual stabilization of the situation in the country, as well as the return of political processes to the constitutional field. He especially noted that the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic will take the necessary measures to ensure the safety of foreign investments in accordance with national legislation.
The sides exchanged views on the state and prospects of bilateral cooperation and noted the importance of further strengthening cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
Meanwhile, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Ruslan Kazakbaev met with ambassadors of Japan and Switzerland, the press service of the Foreign Ministry reported.
During a meeting with Japanese Ambassador Shigeki Maeda minister Kazakbaev expressed gratitude to the Japanese side for the comprehensive financial and technical assistance provided since the independence of the Kyrgyz Republic, including through JICA in the implementation of the project “One village – one product”.
