Bishkek: President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov held an online meeting with Prime Minister of the country Kubatbek Boronov.
The current epidemiological situation in the country, the issues of the socio-economic development of the republic amid the coronavirus pandemic were discussed at the meeting, the president’s press service reported. Kubatbek Boronov noted an improvement of the situation with coronavirus infection – the number of new infections has noticeably decreased. He stressed that exhaustive measures are being taken to further improve the situation and create a stock of medicines.
He informed about measures to support entrepreneurs, including the maximum reduction of bureaucratic delays in the provision of concessional loans.
Kubatbek Boronov also provided information on the progress of reconstruction of social facilities, internal roads in the regions.
President Jeenbekov noted the need for a comprehensive analysis of the impact of the situation with coronavirus infection not only on the health care system, but also on the economy and social sphere.
In addition, he once again emphasized the particular importance of ensuring timely preparation of industries, social institutions, especially medical facilities, for the passage of the autumn-winter period.
In addition, President Sooronbay Jeenbekov drew attention to ensuring the effective organization of events in preparation for the parliamentary elections in compliance with all sanitary requirements.
Earlier, “Kyrgyzstan will increase the volume of exports of ecologically clean agricultural products,” the country’s President Sooronbay Jeenbekov said.
In an interview to the radio station Birinchi radio of the Public TV and Radio Broadcasting Corporation, Jeenbekov noted that especially developed countries with a high standard of living are interested in such clean products, recalling that Kyrgyzstan is a member of the World Trade Organization, the Eurasian Economic Union, and has a preferential GSP + status.
