Kyrgyz President receives Kazakhstani FM

Bishkek: President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov received Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Tleuberdi who arrived in the country for an official visit. An exchange of views on current areas of bilateral cooperation in political, trade and economic, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres took place, the press service of the Kyrgyz president reported.
The head of state noted with satisfaction the dynamics of development of Kyrgyz-Kazakh cooperation in the spirit of friendship, alliance and strategic partnership.
The sides also touched on the events on the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border and the restoration of Batken Oblast.
President Zhaparov named the restoration of destroyed infrastructure and social facilities, residential houses, as well as assistance to the affected citizens as the primary task. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Tleuberdi conveyed warm words of greetings from President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. He stressed that the main purpose of his official visit is to deepen fraternal relations between the countries.
Mukhtar Tleuberdi stressed that within the framework of the implementation of agreements between the heads of the two states, the relevant state bodies of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan are working to bring the joint trade turnover up to $ 1 billion a year.
The Kazakh foreign minister expressed the full support of the Kazakh side to the ongoing social and political reforms in Kyrgyzstan, including the adoption of the new Constitution of the country. At the end of the meeting, the sides noted a mutual willingness to deepen and expand strategic relations between the countries.. – Agencies
