Bishkek: President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov completed his three days official visit to Russia, his press service reported on Friday.
Zhaparov started his visit with a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The heads of states discussed current areas of bilateral cooperation and prospects for joint cooperation on all issues of mutual interests.
At a meeting with compatriots the Kyrgyz president told about the work being done to address their pressing issues, state support for students studying in Russian educational institutions, etc., as well as answered questions of compatriots.
On the same day, the head of state met with President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. The sides exchanged views on the prospects for Kyrgyz-Tatarstan relations.
The agenda for the second day of the president’s visit was no less eventful. The Kyrgyz leader met with Chairman of the Russian State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Chairwoman of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko, as well as representatives of large Russian business.
President Zhaparov concluded his visit by laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier near the Kremlin wall in Moscow.
As part of the foreign visit of the Kyrgyz president, heads of the ministries involved have signed:
– Agreement between the Governments of Kyrgyzstan and Russia on cooperation in the field of international information security;
– Agreement between the Governments of Kyrgyzstan and Russia on the provision of free technical assistance to the Kyrgyz Republic to create a system of marking goods with identification means in the Kyrgyz Republic;
– Protocol between the Ministries of Defense of Kyrgyzstan and Russia on the use of unmanned aerial vehicles in Kyrgyzstan;
– Program of development of strategic partnership of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation in the military sphere for 2021-2025 between defense ministers;
– Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministries of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan and Russia on cooperation in the supply of agricultural products.
On the night of Feb. 25, President Sadyr Zhaparov has returned to Kyrgyzstan.
