Bishkek: President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov held Friday meeting via video with Foreign Minister of the republic Chingiz Aidarbekov.
The minister informed about the preparation for the upcoming working visit of the head of state to Russia and the official visit to Hungary, the press service of the Kyrgyz president reported.
Sooronbay Jeenbekov will pay a working visit to Russia on Sept. 28. He is expected to hold bilateral negotiations with Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
Following the visit to Russia, on Sept. 28-29 President Jeenbekov will pay an official visit to Hungary. The agreement on this return visit was reached during the official visit of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban to the Kyrgyz Republic in September 2018. He attended the opening ceremony of the III World Nomad Games and took part in the Summit of Heads of State of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States as an observer.
As part of the visit, the Kyrgyz leader will meet with Hungarian PM Viktor Orban to discuss the current state and prospects of Kyrgyz-Hungarian bilateral cooperation.
The meeting will result in signing a number of bilateral agreements. Meetings with Hungarian President János Áder and Speaker of the National Assembly László Kövér are also scheduled.
Besides, Minister Aidarbekov provided information about the progress of preparation of polling stations abroad in the territory of diplomatic missions and consular offices of the country for the upcoming parliamentary elections, to be held Oct. 4.
The number of foreign polling stations was increased to 45, while in 2017 there were 37.
The head of state emphasized the importance of strengthening the readiness of polling stations abroad and creating all necessary sanitary conditions in them to ensure the safest voting process for compatriots.
At the same time, Sooronbay Jeenbekov drew attention to the importance of strengthening the work of the Foreign Ministry to resume international air travel with foreign countries.–Agencies
