Bishkek: President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov will take part in a regular meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council to be held Friday via videoconference, his press service said.
During the virtual meeting, which will be chaired by Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, heads of state of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) member states will be presented a number of reports on the results of work, including the removal of obstacles in the internal market of the Union, on the implementation of the Main Directions of EAEU international activities in 2020 and others.
In addition, members of the Supreme Council are expected to consider issues on the guidelines of macroeconomic policy of member states for 2021-2022, on cooperation in the production of medicines and pharmaceutical substances for medical use, and other issues of deepening integration processes.
At the end of the regular meeting a number of decisions will be taken.
Earlier, A phone talk took place on Monday between President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov and Acting Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan.
The press service of the Kyrgyz president reported that the conversation was held on the initiative of the Armenian side. The sides discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Armenia, as well as pressing regional issues and the agenda between the two countries within the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
Sadyr Zhaparov and Nikol Pashinyan confirmed the aim to continue active cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Armenia in all areas of mutual interest.
