ISLAMABAD: The last date for participation in the All Pakistan Minorities Heritage Photo Contest organized by Pakistan Hindu Council to explore religious historical sites of non-Muslim minorities across the country is Tuesday, January 31, 2023.
Talking with media, Patron-in-Chief of Pakistan Hindu Council Dr. Ramesh Kumar Vankwani said that no decision has been taken yet to extend the deadline of the photo contest being held in collaboration with the Press Network of Pakistan.
“The prize distribution ceremony will be held in mid-February at the HEC Auditorium, Islamabad,” Dr. Ramesh further said, emphasizing that the main objectives of this unique photo competition are to bring the minorities of the country into the national mainstream, to promote national unity and to demonstrate religious tolerance among Pakistani citizens, especially youth.
Dr. Ramesh, while appreciating the Chairman HEC Dr. Mukhtar, said that a good number of students belonging to public and private universities have actively participated in the photo competition. “So far, as many as 900 entries has been received from people residing in different areas,” he said.
He clarified that every citizen of Pakistan is eligible to participate in the photo competition, but the last date for participation in the All Pakistan Minorities Heritage Photo Competition is January 31, which is not going to be extended. –PR
