Lahore: Former cricketers Rashid Latif and Shoaib Akhtar think that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) doesn’t know how to utilize middle-order batsman Umar Akmal.
“The cricket board has wasted him. They wanted him in the middle-order but he was given chance in just two matches. I know he has been failed to deliver but he can be utilized in a proper way,” Akhtar said while talking on a news channel.
Fastest bowler in the history of cricket, Akhtar said that Akmal has remained the target of some people who don’t want him to progress. “There are many other bad boys in the Pakistan team. If we start writing a book, I think a single book is not enough. We need to write editions, even after that the names will not end,” he said.
Former wicket-keeper batsman Latif raised questions on the behavior which led him at this point where he is showing frustration. “Firstly, we need to know the reasons which forced Akmal to misbehave,” he said.
It must be noted here that Akmal was reportedly misbehaved with the coaches at National Cricket Academy (NCA). Akmal went angry after failing the fitness Test. According to the sources, he took off his shirt and asked the coach “Charbee Kahan hai (Show me where is the fat on my body)?” The matter was taken up by the PCB which is likely to take action against the cricketer. – Agencies
