Karachi: Former Pakistan captain Rashid Latif has claimed that current limited-overs captain Babar Azam is ahead of all cricketing legends of Pakistan.
Rashid while replying on a tweet by cricket columnist who wrote that let Babar win a player of the match award as this is all premature hype for the 25-year-old. It is pre-requisite for any talk of batting greatness.
Rashid wrote that he has met many Pakistan great bowlers and batsmen but Babar is incredible of them all.
“During my career, I met many great players. Bowlers like Wasim, Waqar, Shoaib, Saqlain and Mushtaq and Batsmen like Miandad, Inzi, Yousuf, Saeed, and Younus but Babar is the most incredible of them all,” he tweeted.
It must be noted that Babar has represented Pakistan in 26 Tests, 74 ODIs and 38 T20Is. The right-handed batsman is number one in T20Is, number third in ODIs, and number sixth in red-ball cricket.
