ISLAMABAD: The Institute of Engineers Pakistan, Islamabad arranged a technical lecture on “Power Management and Control of Residential Micro Grids†. Engr. Dr. Syed Ahmed Raza Naqvi, Simulation Specialist of OPAL-RT Technologies, Canada was the Speaker.
Delivering the lecture Engr. Dr. Syed Ahmad Raza Naqvi explained the functioning of Power Management and Control of Residential Micro Grids. He also elaborated benchmark distribution system model, mathematical foundations for balancing residential micro-grids and intra-phase power management strategy.
Dr Naqvi urged the distribution companies and authorities to take concrete steps to eliminate line losses and upgrade the transmission lines to have efficient Energy system that will overcome the power shortfalls. A question answer session was held at end of lecture in which Engineer Dr. Syed Ahmad Raza Naqvi replied to the queries of participants.
In his concluding remarks, Chairman IEP Islamabad Hafiz M. Ehsanul Haq Qazi thanked the Resource Person for providing useful information on Power Management and Control of Residential Micro Grids and asked the young engineers to enhance their Engineering skills by regularly attending the CPD lectures.
