Linyi, Shanghai forge new path forward

BEIJING: Forging deeper regional integration and win-win coordinated development, the Shanghai-Linyi exchange conference on industrial and talent cooperation has built a vital bridge for cross-regional resource docking, industrial linkage and talent exchange between the two cities, while bringing the profound Yimeng Spirit to the Yangtze River Delta region.
Zhang Baoliang, Party secretary of Linyi in East China’s Shandong province, said that the city stands as the province’s pivotal gateway connecting the Yangtze River Delta region, witnessing its remarkable transformation from a revolutionary heritage base to a dynamic hub of high-quality development.
Held in Shanghai from Aug 16 to 18, the conference assembled over 220 participants from diverse sectors to advance pragmatic cooperation between Shanghai and Linyi in investment, agriculture and logistics sectors, as well as talent recruitment and introduction. Adopting an integrated “culture + industry + talent” promotion model, the event integrates spiritual inheritance, city brand building and high-end talent recruitment.
It delivered tangible cooperation results, with a total of 31 project agreements signed. These projects cover nine key industries including advanced stainless steel and specialty steel, high-end engineering equipment, fine chemicals, biomanufacturing, and new energy vehicles.
The event featured briefings on Linyi’s core talent policies and the release of major scientific and technological innovation projects, extending a sincere invitation to talents and innovation teams in Shanghai to start businesses and pursue development opportunities in Linyi that has a population of 10.8 million.
