London: Pakistan spearhead pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi is determined to bounce back in the second ODI at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Stadium.
The 21-year-old Shaheen thinks Lord’s conditions support Green Shirts and performances have been great in the past. “Our record at Lord’s have been great, our batsmen have scored runs in the World Cup [2019]. I am sure we will bounce back in the second ODI,” Shaheen said in a video released by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
“Conditions at Lord’s support us, Babar Azam and Imam-ul-Haq also scored well at Lord’s during the World Cup. The best bowling of my career is also at Lord’s,” he added. Shaheen emphasized that the team will have to play in partnerships in both departments. “We need partnerships in batting and bowling. if one bowler is bowling maiden, the pressure has to remain intact from the other end.”
Shaheen is looking forward to receiving support from fans at Lords after it was announced that full capacity is allowed for the match. – Agencies
