ISLAMABAD: On May 13, LTEC International Agriculture Development Co., Ltd., and Wiztec Food Solutions (Pvt) Limited announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), heralding a milestone in their joint efforts to industrialize and modernize chili production in Pakistan. The agreement marks a step forward in boosting agricultural cooperation between Pakistan and China and further strengthens economic ties between the two countries.
Under the terms of the MoU, Wiztec will provide expertise in chili dehydration to ensure the highest quality standards are met for export to China. Renowned for its pioneering Chinese Chilli Contract Farming project, which is the representative project of the second phase of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), LTEC aims to facilitate Pakistani agricultural products’ access to the expansive Chinese market.
Both LTEC and Wiztec are committed to a substantial increase in business volume over the next five years, with a target of up to 50,000 tons of chili production. The partnership was spearheaded by Huang Pei, Head of Commercial at LTEC and Shoaib Awan, Head of Business Unit at Wiztec Food Solutions.
