MACAO: The revenue of Macao’s construction sector decreased by 2.3 percent year-on-year to 53.29 billion patacas (about 6.68 billion U.S. dollars) in 2019, the special administrative region’s statistic service said on Friday.
The latest report from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that the expenditure of the sector dipped by 3.0 percent year-on-year to 48.49 billion patacas (about 6.07 billion dollars), of which intermediate consumption fell by 3.9 percent while labor cost rose by 0.8 percent.
As expenditure showed a greater decline than receipts, the gross surplus of the sector went up by 5.5 percent to 4.80 billion patacas (about 601.36 million dollars). – Agencies
