ISLAMABAD: Criminal Investigation Agency; CIA of Capital Cops, caught a house maid and recovered gold ornaments and wrist watch from her possession.
According to details, on the special directives of IGP Muhamamd Amir Zulfqar Khan, DIG Operations Waqar-ud-din Syed assigned special task to SP Investigation Dr Syed Mustafa Tanveer, of arresting those involved in criminal activities at various areas of PS Ramana. Thus, SP Investigation Dr Syed Mustafa Tanveer constituted a special team under supervision of DSP CIA Hakim Khan, comprising of ASI Rana Tasneem along others.
The given team arrested a house maid identified as Allah Rakhi R/O district Okara, while recovering stolen gold ornaments and wrist watch from the accused. A case has been registered against her and further investigation is underway.
DIG Islamabad Waqar Uddin Syed has appreciated the performance and directed all cop officials for high vigilance and monitoring against those involved in anti-social activities. He said that Capital Cops would also safeguard it’s youth from various evils like use of drugs and ensure brighter future of them. He said that it is the collective responsibility of the every person of the society to remain alert against those involve d in criminal activities in their surroundings and inform cops for action against them.
28 booked during crackdown against crooks
ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops, in a bid to tighten noose around anti-social elemens, booked 28 crooks during crackdown against criminal elements and recovered narcotics, stolen bike, kites and weapons from them.
According to details, following the directives of IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfqar Khan, DIG Operations Waqar-ud-Din Syed issued directives to all zonal officers for renewed efforts against those involved in anti-social activities.
Owing to these efforts, PS Secretariat arrested 2 accused Arif Butt and Ghulam Hussain and recovered 110 gram hashish and iron punch from their possession respectively. PS Aabpara, on the other hand, caught Farhan and Shahzad and recovered 22 bottles wine from their possession. Similarly, PS Bara Kahu arrested accused waqas and recovered 32 bore pistol from him.
PS Bani Gala nabbed accused Adeel and recovered kites from him. PS Karachi Company arrested two accused Jameel and Jamshed and recovered two 30 bore pistol from their possession. PS Tarnol booked four accused; Faisal, Khan Muhammad, Iftakhir and Pervez for having four 30 bore pistols from their possession. Noon police arrested accused Aftab Ahmed and recovered one 30 bore illicit pistol from him. PS Shalimar arrested accused Akber for having 180 gram hashish from him while PS Sabzi Mandi caught Alam Zaib and recovered one 30 bore pistol from him.
PS Nilor also arrested two accused Sheriz and Muhammad Danyal and recovered two pistol from their possession while PS Industrial-Area booked accused Said Kamal and recovered 137 gram hashish from him. PS Koral arrested accused Muhammad Faisal and recovered 270 gram hashish while cops also arrested accused Saddam.
PS Lohibher arrested a bike lifter namely Sabbir Hussain and recovered stolen bike from him. PS Sihala arrested accused Mamoon Baber and recovered one 30 bore illicit pistol from him. Separate cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them. During special checking in the whole city, cops also nabbed six proclaimed offenders at various police stations.
DIG Operations Islamabad Waqar-ud-din Syed has said that these social evils would be curbed and those backing those drug peddlers and professional beggars would be dealt with iron hand. He further emphasized that this campaign would continue till elimination of anti-social elements.
Six arrested for betting on cockfights
RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi Cops have arrested six men for betting on a rooster fight Monday afternoon. The accused have been identified as Irfan, Zeeshan, Saeed, Mazhar, Israr and Shiraz. The police have seized Rs15,600 in cash and five mobile phones from the suspects’ possession.
