BEIJING: The Chinese mainland recorded 12 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, all from overseas, data from the National Health Commission (NHC) showed on Wednesday.
No new deaths related to COVID-19 were reported, the NHC said.
Nine new asymptomatic cases were also recorded on Tuesday, and a total of 291 asymptomatic patients remain under medical observation.
The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland has reached 89,864, and the death toll remains 4,636.
