Major, Sepoy martyred in South Waziristan standoff

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Army Officer, and Sepoy were martyred during standoff with terrorists in South Waziristan’s Angoor Adda, said Inter Services Public Relations in a statement released on Tuesday.
According to the Military’s media wing, fire exchange took place between security forces and terrorists in general area Angoor Adda, South Waziristan District on night 11/12 April 2022. In result, Major Shujaat Hussain (age 30 years, resident of Toba Tek Singh) and Sepoy Imran Khan (age 27 years, resident of Naseerabad), after having fought gallantly, embraced shahadat.
“Troops effectively engaged the terrorist’s location. Resultantly, two terrorists got killed. Weapon and ammunition was also recovered from the killed terrorists” ISPR said, adding, “the killed terrorists remained actively involved in terrorist activities against security forces”.
Area clearance was being carried out to eliminate any other terrorist found in the area. Pakistan Army was determined to eliminate menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave officers and soldiers further strengthen our resolve, the statement concluded. – ISPR
