ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police Karachi company police station and Homicide Unit police teams have arrested an accused involved in a murder case.
According to details, on 6th August 2024, the Karachi Company police station received an application from a citizen who stated that he is a resident of Fateh Jhang road Islamabad and that accused Umer Akbar killed my cousin namely Waheed Khan through gunfire.
Upon receiving the application, the Karachi Company Police team registered an FIR no. 832/24. Following this incident, DIG Islamabad Syed Ali Raza directed the officials to ensure the arrest of the accused involved in it. A special police team was constituted.
The police teams utilized all available resources and used technical and scientific methods to arrest the accused, namely Umer Akbar. During the preliminary investigation, the arrested accused confessed the killing, while further investigation is underway.
