ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police Bhara Kahu Police Station and Homicide Investigation Unit (HIU) teams have arrested an accused involved in a murder case.
According to details, on September 11, 2025, the Bhara Kahu police team received information that the accused had murdered a lady Manahil Altaf with gun fire. Upon receiving the information, the Bhara Kahu police team registered FIR No. 673/25. Following the incident, a special investigation team was formed. The police teams used technical and scientific methods and succeeded in apprehending an accused namely Ghulam Abbas. DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq directed all senior officials for an effective crackdown against the accused involved in criminal activities and to ensure the safety of lives and property of citizens on a priority basis.
He said that the Islamabad Police adopts a zero-tolerance policy against violence, including injustices and crimes, and the accused involved in it will be brought to justice by taking strict legal action against them. He further directed all officers and officials to intensify the crackdown against the criminal elements.
