Man booked for murdering wife

ISLAMABAD: The Homicide Unit of Capital Cops’ Margalla Circle buted a person allegedly involved in murdering his wife. According to details, PS Ramana lodged an FIR following complaint of Muhammad Aslam, regarding murder of his sister Fatima Bibi (33), and alleged that her husband Arshad Abbass had murdered the girl. Cops registered a case and began interrogation into the matter.
In light of DIG Operations’ orders, SP Saddar Muhamamd Sarfraz Ahmed Virk constituted a special team under the supervision of DSP Abid Ikram including Homicide Unit’s Inspector Azam, PS Ramana’s SHO SI Turab-ul-Hassan, SI Asif Khan, Head Constable Khayasta Khan, Constable Noor Nabi and others from Homicide Unit. The team collected evidence about the incident and managed to arrest Arshad Abbas, involved in killing his wife. Further investigation is underway from the nabbed accused. DIG Operations has appreciated the performance of the team while directing all police officials for high vigilance and monitoring against those involved in anti-social activities.

2 dacoits held, valuables, arms recovered

ISLAMABAD: PS Sabzi Mandi caught two, involved in dacoities, while recovering snatched mobile phones, motorbike and weapons from their possession. According to details, IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan and DIG Operations directed all police officials to ensure effective policing measures in the city and trace those involved in case. Following these directives, SP Industrial Area Zubair Ahmed Sheikh constituted a team under the supervision of DSP Khalid Mehmood Awan including SHO Sabzi Mandi SI Muhammad Iqbal, SI Shahid Munair along with other officials which successfully busted two members’ dacoit gang involved in snatching valuables at gunpoint. The accused have been identified as Kareem and Akber Khan. Cops’ team also recovered snatched mobile phones, motorbike and illegal weapons from their possession. Moreover, during preliminary investigation, the accused confessed of their involvement in incidents of looting people at various parts of Sabzi Mandi. Separate cases have been registered at PS Sabzi Mandi against the nabbed persons while further investigation is underway from them. DIG Operations has appreciated the overall performance and directed all police officials to ensure effective policing measures in their respective areas.
