Man booked for murdering wife, minor daughter

RAWALPINDI: A man tortured his wife and a minor daughter to death over domestic disputes here on Wednesday. Police arrested the accused.
According to details, the incident took place in jurisdiction of Rawalpindi’s Nasirabad police station where accused Mujahid over dispute of not bearing male child for him killed his wife Hina Ishfaq and one and half year old daughter Anaya by torturing them brutally.
Muhammad Ishfaq, father-in-law of the accused told police that the culprit Mujahid used to torture Hina and often demand money for construction of house and recently they had sent Rs200,000 to him. The police arrested the murderer and after registering a case against him have started an investigation.

2kg charas, cache of diesel, petrol recovered

ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops took action against illegal drug peddlers and illegal filling sations, here this Wednesday and recovered over 2kg charas and cache of diesel and petrol from the accused.
According to details, PS Noon & PS Sabzi have taken action against drug peddlers & illegal filling stations and recovered more than 2 kg charas & large quantities of diesel & petrol.

15 including four POs held,

ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops on Wednesday arrested 15 outlaws including four proclaimed offenders from various parts of the city and recovered hashish, heroin, alcohol and weapons from their possession.
According to details, following the directions of DIG Operations Waqar-ud-Din Syed, all officials of Capital Cops, have accelerated their efforts to curb activities of anti-social elements and drug pushers. Thus, PS Golra busted Jamal Khan and recovered a 30 bore pistol along with ammunition from him. PS Tarnol apprehended accused Farroq and recovered one 30 bore pistol from him.
PS Noon caught two accused Tariq and Sardar Khan allegedly involved in selling petroleum products illegally in the area. Shams Colony police arrested Abbas and recovered 150 gram hashish from him. PS Khanna nabbed two accused Adnan and Pupoo and recovered two 30 bore pistol from their possession while Nilor police arrested accused Mehtab and recovered 210 gram heroin from him. PS Sihala arrested three accused Jamal Masih, Suleman Masih and Aamir Waseem and recovered a total of 58 liter alcohol from their possession.
Separate cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them. During special crackdown against absconders, Islamabad police nabbed four proclaimed offenders and court absconders from various area of the city.
DIG Operations has appreciated this performance and directed all Station House Officers for effective crackdown against that involvement in drug peddling activities. The DIG also categorically asked all police officials to focus on resolving the public complaints and take every possible step to provide maximum relief to citizens.
