LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced on Monday her commitment to revolutionise the health sector by expediting health projects.
Maryam made the announcement during a meeting with the provincial health adviser, Azhar Mehmood Kayani.
During the meeting, the chief minister underscored the need to restore and restructure the existing health system while promoting modern research in medical colleges and universities.
Maryam expressed her dedication to the health sector, stating that upgrades were underway for all health centres, THQs and tertiary hospitals.
She highlighted initiatives such as delivering medications for heart diseases, TB, cancer and hepatitis directly to people’s homes, noting her satisfaction when a woman shared her positive experience with home-delivered heart medication. –Agencies
