LAHORE: Former first daughter and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice president Maryam Nawaz on Sunday launched ‘Sher Jawan’ a moment with an aim to unite youth for political gains.
Addressing the launching ceremony of ‘Sher Jawan’ movement to encourage its young workers to change the destiny of the country with their new innovative ideas in Lahore on Sunday, she said that the main purpose of the movement is to give political consciousness to the new generation, adding that we will make the youth the “Shaheens of Iqbal”.
The PML-N vice president said that when the vote is given respect, the youth get laptops, scholarships, new schools and colleges, adding that the prolonged 20 to 22 hours load shedding comes to zero, while drone strikes also end and the prime minister of the enemy country comes to Pakistan.
Maryam Nawaz said that terrorism rises, no welfare for people and the case for Kashmir is lost when no respect is given to the vote. “The new loans worth millions of rupees goes into the pockets of flour, sugar, electricity and gas mafias,” she said.
She went on to say that former prime minister and party supremo Nawaz Sharif talks about following constitution, oath and independence of judiciary, adding that the constitution is a book for the rights of masses.
